Conversation at the bicycle parking spot outside Tesco, post-tutorial with Dr. Seery:
Social retard: First year ek? (Without a hello or salam whatsoever)
First-years (male. Err male?I mean boys): Err.. ha'ah. Assalamualaikum.. (Smiles politely)
Social retard: Walks off awkwardly..
I have unfortunately turned into one. It's just so awkward to start a conversation with people outside my usual social circle these days. After a smile and a hi, I didn't know what else to say. Plus with all the new juniors coming in, I feel really old to be introducing myself as a "fourth-year". They must feel so kesian la this kakak, only has a few friends, and life revolves around hospitals. Tsk
Anyway, as socially retarded as we already are, food never fails to unleash the "takmalu-ness" within. I went to accompany Pika to a hepatology conference with Yan, because I wanted to learn something new. Haha yeah right no. I actually went for the sake of free food. That's one of the few reasons why I love clinical years, free food everywhere. You just have to put up a shameless hungry face and grab all the tasty sandwiches before the consultants do.
Soft drinks, chips, chocolates, sandwiches, fruits. Eh hi pakcik pharmaceutical company! You look handsome today. Can I have more kitkat please.
Look who's grabbing all the sandwiches. The identity of the food enthusiast will not be disclosed for privacy purposes. Hahah
I'm expecting another food-loaded weekend. Alhamdulillah murah rezekiku. See yah dont wanna bee yah!
