If you have facebook and if you're friends with the Dublin peeps, you must've noticed how excited everyone is with the snowy weekend :)
So Nisha and I decided to shop at tesco, and haruslah amek gambar sikit2 dalam perjalanan. Jangan risau, sikit sahaje.

So yeah, that was my snowy experience. No fancy snowman like we did last year. Well things change. As the snow gets thicker, something else gets thicker too. Love you peeps!

The first snow.

Winter has arrived. I wake up in the morning to find the backyard and the parking lot covered with snow. Tapi nipis sahaja.

view from the kitchen, kami rumah tingkat 3.

Today's forecast will expect a thunderstorm. And the highest temperature will be 2-4 degree. And it will be bitterly cold.
Hello winter~

Eka's fun facts

5 unknown facts about eka:-
jeng jeng jeng

1) At the age of 18, she still has a few milk tooth left. That actually causes the dentist to laugh when she visited the clinic to cabut one of them. grrr (-.-")

2) The first person to introduce her to facebook was her mom. She was abnormally outdated as compared to her tech savvy mom.

3) At 14, she doesn't know what simcard is.

4) She actually fainted at unexpected times. And when she's conscious again she'll laugh because she thinks it's funny and embarassing.
e.g: during a site visit to the physio unit and she fainted beside a stroke patient for no apparent reason. probably because of no breakfast kot. bila sedar dia gelak and blushing sebab stroke patient yang sakit dia yang pengsan. hahah

5) When she's silent it means she's mad or she's thinking about food. hahaha

Actually tu muqadimah yang merepek. haha. I just wanted to share this video below actually. Fun facts about our beloved Prophet S.A.W in which most of us are oblivious at.

One of the sweetest video I've ever seen. Those who insulted our religion by drawing silly cartoons of our prophet, you're actually pathetic and uncivilized. Continue insulting us because that makes us stronger to go against you.

p/s: I know the video didnt came out right on my blog. But go watch on YouTube okay peeps. Go here.

I don't normally have a title for a random post like this.

To you, if you're reading this, I know you're not that active on the net but if you're reading this, just so you know, that person still likes you. Very much. And that person still remembers everything about you. Your attire, your jokes, your style. No matter how much time that person spent with others and me especially, that person still likes you.

Hari bingung.

Today I decided to go to the Locomotor dissection class I missed last week.
And guess what the demonstrator told us,

"Guys, you do know that this is the LAST dissection for your degree right?"

The LAST? Seriously the LAST? No more dissection and cadavers? Awww :(
Ala, baru ingat nak beli dissection kit baru. sobs
(eleh emo konon, as if I enjoyed dissection. pffft -.-")

But on the bright side, no more irritating formalin smell and no more extracting fatty tissue for one hour without succeeding in finding the muscles. yay!

And he told us to do whatever we want to do with the cadaver, not necessarily dissecting the lower limb which we're supposed to dissect. So off we went to study the prosected limbs, kali ni study seriously bersama Nisha Ain and Ida, selama ni masuk lab banyak main je hahaha. And also I said goodbye to my cadaver, the intestines, the spleen etc :( Oh oh and because this is the last session, we took pictures senyap2. hehe padahal gila violate rules, please dont tell the demonstrator who always where shorts -.-"

cadaveric material

Farewell cadavers.I will use the scalpel on live patients next. Muahaha *gelak jahat*

p/s: cadavers are corpse yang diawet for medical purpose. I think so. haha

Basikal

Okay. Before I went off to devote myself to histology, here's some crappy stuff happening today. As if people are dying to know about you. pfftt -.-"

Adegan 1

So yeah like every other morning, I cycle to class. And on the way we have to cross a wide road which have two zebra crossings. Kat Ireland ni, the good thing is whenever it's green for pedestrians to cross, there'll be a sound bunyi ala2 mercun roket, macam "tiuu!". So that for those who are visually impaired they know when to cross the road when they hear that sound. The thing is, I have already crossed the first road. So tengah tunggu la tengah-tengah jalan tu to cross the second road, diiringi seorang mamat Irish yang tak dikenali. Cisss rupanya the "tiuu!" sound came from zebra crossing yang belakang, not the one I was about to cross. Bahaya okayy. Alhamdulillah tak terpelanting ke tengah jalan masa menjerit opocot didalam hati. The Irish guy seemed to tahan gelak. Cisss kau. bukan nak warn aku. huh

Moral of the story: Please look at the traffic light when crossing, and do not rely solely on your hearing.

Adegan 2

Sebab sakit perut masa lecture MED and tak suka suasana toilet tanpa paip on campus (sebab tahu bakal meluangkan masa yang lama dalam toilet sebab makan banyak so lebih baik meluangkan masa di toilet rumah), so as fast as lightning I cycle myself home. It just stopped raining so the road was kinda muddy. Eh kinda ke. Macam SUPER muddy je. And the best part is, elok nak cycle masuk Brooklands (my apartment), I heard something dropped of my bike, bila pusing, rupanya mudguard telah tercabut. So what does that mean? That means all the way home I cycled with a rambling tummy, the mudguard was loose and senget so sepanjang perjalanan tanpa disedari saya telah mengumpul corak mud yang cantik diatas beg dan jaket PUTIH saya. Untuk perhatian, PUTIH. wuuu (T.T)

corak baru cantik kannn

Moral of the story: Kalau sakit perut, guna ja toilet yang ada tak perlu nak susah payah balik rumah. And sila pasang mudguard ketat2.

So yeah. Cycling was a great experience. Sebab apa cerita? Saja membuang masa.
Lately memang suka post benda merepek.

Back to books. bye

The bluebottle.

A few days ago I read the book given by Mif, Ain and Tiqah as my birthday present, and I stumbled upon a very interesting analogy written by the author. Oh by the way, it's The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern :)

Ok biar kali ini cerita guna bahasa rojak sket. Have you ever heard of bluebottles? Bluebottle ni sejenis lalat. Kalau tak tahu jugak, rujuk gambaq di bawah.

So yeah, back to our story. The snippet from the novel was actually about the character observing a flying bluebottle. Pernah tengok tak kalau lalat teperangkap dalam rumah, and then it keeps flying towards the window and keeps on hitting itself because it thinks the window glass is transparent? Pernah tengok kan? It will keep on flying like it was under a panic attack, nak escape. And then we tried to slide the window open and help it get out, but it keeps flying away from us as if we're trying to catch it. Well, here's what's written in the book I read;

"I wonder if my watching him (the bluebottle) from the armchair is what it's like to be God, if there is a God. He sits back and sees the big picture, just as I could see that if the bluebottle just moved up the window to the top, then he'd be free. He wasn't trapped at all, he was just looking at the wrong place.."
The Book of Tomorrow, Cecelia Ahern. Pg 12.(eceh siap bagi page lagi)

So basically, in whatever crappy stuff we're facing in life, know that Allah always sees the big picture, very much the same as we see the way out for the bluebottle. The only problem is we don't normally see the solution, sama macam lalat tu. Tau terbang merata-rata tapi tak jumpa jalan keluar. When there's a problem, the first action would be panic, macam lalat tu jugak. Maybe you're not like that, but for me, I acted out gelabah at even simple tiny miny problem. God helps us in many ways, but sometimes we're too busy panicking and contemplating that we pushed His helping hand away. Sama macam lalat tu, we tried helping him to get out but it keeps on flying awayyy from us. We weren't trapped at all, instead, we always look for solutions at the wrong place :)

Eh, ke macam pening je post ni. Dah la panjang gila. Sorry peeps. I just find that particular snippet, interesting.
roger n out!

My Monday.

On a sunny day like this,

my favorite weekly spot after the incomprehensible morning lecture,
accompanied by a cuppa cappucino, like always.

Salam aidulAdha everyone,
lets not forget the story of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail alaihimassalam :)

p/s: ok la fine ni gambar camwhore. kasi can la skali skala. ish dengki la tu.

My Saturday.

Here's to wipe out a bit of the Monday blues, by posting something crappy as always. haha

On the way to the city from a talk at Trinity, and on the way back home from the city, I used the bus, like always, but the only difference was the mood. The 1st bus, I was sitting alone when an Irish girl came up and asked me "How's the study going". I said, "You must be from Trinity, well I'm from UCD", and ended up laughing at the mistaken approach. She taught I'm her classmate in 1st year medicine in Trinity because all Malaysians look the same. So all the way to the city, I had a fun conversation, discussing on how harder the medical course turns out each year, what books I'm using, how much she and I hated biochemistry and all the annoying formulas, yadayadayada. People must have realized how nerdy we are discussing on medical stuff in a bus on the way to the city. By the way, as I get off the bus, I felt happy, because of that random girl. Maybe because we had something in common (ie, medical students) that the conversation changes my gloomy mood :)

Then on the 2nd bus back home, it was raining and wet as I waited for the bus. So when the bus came I hurriedly get on the bus without realizing the fact that I accidentally pushed a young lady in front of me. Well, not pushed, but more or less just bumped into her a lilbit. And she turned back with an annoyed look saying, " Mind your ways, ye don't have to knock me like." (read in an Irish accent). Lek2 la, emo plak die.Oh by the way, tak aci sebab dia potong queue masa nak naik bus.huh. That simple incident changes my mood the whole way back. People in the bus looked at me as if I'm a jerk, pushing people just to get on the bus. Eh ke aku yang paranoid, ntah2 orang tak pandang pun. hahaha

So anyways, as much as I love a ride on the bus alone, because my mind can be elsewhere looking outside the window, I hated the fact that even simple things can hugely affect me. Like that annoying young lady. wek2

Oh well, being bitter at almost everything won't change you to a better person aite? So smile, Eka, smileee :))))

How would you judge me
if I still wear a short scarf?

How would you judge me
if I still listen to Pixie Lott and Avenged Sevenfold?

How would you judge me
if my favourite TV show are still HIMYM and MTV's?

How would you judge me
if I still celebrate birthdays openly with friends, boys and girls alike?

How would you judge me
if I still read time-wasting English novels?

How would you judge me
if I still attend events regarded as not beneficial?

How would you judge me
if I'm not like you?

Tell me, how would you judge me now?

Decided.
Now all we have to do is act out the decision.

Hope you're happy now (:

Kawan.

Tau tak kawan tu apa?
My whole life has been surrounded by kawan.
Good ones, special ones, funny ones, transient ones, short-term ones.
The good ones, they care to drop by and ask how I've been keeping once in a while.
The special ones, they love endlessly and lend me shoulders whenever I'm in need.
The funny ones, they make a gloomy day shine like stars.
The short-term ones, they come and go, dropping by at unexpected times for reasons I don't know.

I know I didn't fall under the good category, let alone being a special friend to anybody.

I didn't put effort to remain in contact with my old friends.
I didn't spend my free time visiting those who needed me.
I forget birthdays, I didn't buy presents.
I used study as a reason to avoid them. Eleh, padahal study ke laut.
And many many bad things, which I supposed, would be a good evidence to strip the 'friend' title off me.

Just so you know, I choose friends. Bukan in a way yang, eh kau tak cool taknak ah kawan kau.
I mean, I choose friends who understand. Understand the fact that I'm an introvert.
I don't share problems like I share "how's the weather today?".

So yeah, maybe you should un-friend me. I might break your heart one day
Nanti mesti one day, God will ask me how did I treat all my friends He gave me.
Time tu baru la nak menyesal tak wish birthday and tanya khabar si A si B si C.sobs

So nak kawan saya lagi tak? Warning: saya kawan yang teruk *tarik idung sendiri skarang*

But I do hope, the friends I have right now, stay with me along the way, love me for who I am, never backstab me, let me have my happiness, and put me in their prayers always :') *amboi demand plak nak suruh kawan kau buat semua tu. kau buat tak?
