Banting.and friends=)

Tomorrow I'll be leaving. bye bye penang!=) I haven't pack my clothes yet. Food (a must), toiletries, and stationery, all set. As a result of my last-minute packing, i don't know where to start packing my clothes!! haiyo~
What i'm gonna miss, my family, my friends, my bed, my ne
ighbourhood, and lots and lots of wonderful thing in Penang.
There used to be five of us. Liyana, Ifa, Dalila, KD, Zulaikha. Remember guys, during form 3, we rule the school. oh yeah~haha! Then after PMR, we're separated, but there's one thing that unites us, SPM and friendship. Four of us went to boarding schools, and left KD alone in almashoor. Kesian KD. but we still meet up during school holidays kan? =)

Liyana. guess what, we've been in the same class for 5 years (std 5-form 3), and we've been friends for almost 7 years now.We gossip, study, shop, and even go swimming together haha. I frequently hang out at her place. Taking accountancy (UK) under PNB scholarship and will be doing her A-levels at KYUEM. And Liyana, she's now 18 going on 19, and her mom keeps forcing her to wear handbags and make-ups.hehe Gonna mish u lots!take care ya!(^^,)

KayDee. currently taking 'syariah undang-undang' at USIM. We've been in the same class for 3 years, and we went home together everyday by bus. And I miss the time when we used to study 'last-minute' for exams (together with Liyana, Ifa, Dalila). kelam-kabut sgt kan?hehe. I LOVE the way she relates a story. It's funny and if we meet, we just can't stop talking. (^o^) how i wish to meet you before you left to negeri sembilan.

Dalila
. She'll be studying medicine in Indonesia (for 6 years including pre-med), going there this coming July.gosh that means we'll hardly meet each other for the next 6 years!! sob2~
Really hope to send you off at KLIA. We usually hang out at her place before shopping coz her house is freakin near la to BJ shopping complex. I like it when she gets mad haha, coz she looks cute when she 'berleter'.haha~Don't forget to keep in touch tau nanti kt Indonesia!(^^,)

Ifa
. she's in Penang Matriculation College. If you look at her when she talks, she sounds so so so similar with Raven from 'That's so Raven'. The way she acts, memang sama. haha(^^,)
That's why when we meet up, we're the noisiest group as Ifa keeps making jokes, and acts like Raven. Her college is near my house so Ifa, i'll try my best to visit you when i came back home for holidays ok! take care!(^o^)

Now that we're taking different courses, different exams, at different places, what will we hold on to?-friendship.. =)
So friends, SPM marks the end of a journey through secondary school that we've started five years ago. Life goes on, and before any of us realises it, we'll soon be leading our own destiny. But what's definite is all of us will treasure all those precious memories we've left behind.
Wish me luck at KMB!(^^,)

Family.

Before going to college I'd like to post something bout my family, hehe
so that whenever I miss them, I could just take a look here..

This is Mr. Zainol b. Hajeed. My one only, abah! hehe~ He loves gardening. If you can't find him early in the morning on weekends, just go outside and you'll find him watering plants or maintaining our garden. Oh yeah lately dad loves planting okras so every meal will definitely includes okras and sambal belacan. He has a great sense of humour too. I like it when he mingles with my friends' dads. haha~ Dad, you're someone to look up to no matter how tall i've grown =) Abah planted sunflowers too. Its bee-you-ti-full !!

Meet my mom, Mrs. Jaharah Awang. She specializes in cooking.
Especially buns
and breads (after buying a breadmaker heheh~ ). Mom goes to work early in the morning with dad. And when she get back home she'll go straight to the kitchen. What's more, mama knows almost everything about computers and software and all the latest technology gadgets, like an expert. Now that's what i call an urban mama haha~ You'll know that age is merely numbers when you meet her. Whenever i went shopping with mama, many would say that we're sisters. ngeh3~now that'll definitely makes me looks older ok.huhu~

Here's my only brother, Muhd. Zharrieq Haizzad, 14 (doesn't look like 14 haha). He likes reading, but sadly, not textbooks (very malas). He only enjoys books like Harry Potter and Eragon. And i think he's too addicted with computer games, that when you call him while he's playing it's like talking to a wall.
And that's somehow annoying.(grrr..) He plays chess and soccer a lot. And he can't live without chickens, his favourite meal of all time. Anyway, i know even though i'm an evil sister (muahahah), i love you little (busuk-gemuk) brother. hahahaha~

And lastly meet my younger sisters, Nur Zahirah,10 and Nur Zalia Aqilah,7. They both will NEVER stop bickering untill somebody comes to the rescue.haha~ But when both are in good mood, they can play together politely. Pelik betul kan? Ira's kinda skinny even though she eats a LOT. She's quite photogenic. And when she's not in the mood she shouts a lot. Ira's the genius among us fantastic four.haha~ And the youngest in the family, we call her 'adik'. She sometimes acts like a baby, maybe because she's the youngest. Adik is a lil' bit chubby compared to Ira. And she talks a lot. And she can do spontaneous jokes that'll make us laugh out loud. Adik's funny. And i love them both. (^o^)

~THE END~

Islam.

I stumbled upon someone's blog and i saw this video about 'aurat'. And then i searched this video on YouTube. It really portrays what's exactly happening in our society.
Some of us wear the hijab only because our parents ask us to, some even wear it because they say it's fashion.daa~

Recently there's a song about 'Minah Tudung' created by Hafiz Asa'ari (if i'm not mistaken).
It sounds like " Bukak tudung rambut perang, kononnya nak tunjuk belang and blablabla~"
The lyrics are harsh and cynical. But hey, it's reality(No offense ok). And I, as a muslim, also feel embarassed when i hear the song.

See, in ISLAM, there're two kinds of covering (correct me if i'm wrong). One is the covering which is obligatory for the ritual prayer, during solat. The other is the covering which is obligatory, other than for the ritual prayer, before men with whom a woman is not mahram and which does not have the special requirements of the covering for the ritual prayer(like wearing 'telekung', which covers the whole body except our face).

I know i'm not fully 'qualified' to talk about religion. I'm still learning, i admit.
This is just a reminder, for me, and for other muslimat out there. Maybe we should ask ourselves, are we wearing it only for the sake of others, or because we want to be closer with Allah?

People, no offense ok. (^^,)
ilalliqa' wa ma'assalamah~

Abah.

To someone who listens, suggests, and defends. A protector. A provider.
There's always a place for him, deep in my heart. And each year that passes, I'm even more glad, more grateful and proud, just to call you, my dad...
A little girl needs Daddy
For many, many things:
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Did I ever say thanks
for all the toys you mended,
games we played,
outings to the park,
and the way you
always tried to cheer
me when I was down?
Did I ever say thanks
for the sacrifices you made
so I could be involved
in so many enriching
activities?
Did I ever say thanks for
working so hard
to provide for our family?
Did I ever say thanks
for having such faith in me
and always being there
when I needed you?
Most of all,
Did I ever say thanks for caring?
Thank you.for everything.=)

Abah, Happy Fathers' Day. I love you. muchos~
mama, love you too!=
truly, eka.

. Hijau .

I watched APM 07 last week, and gosh! hady mirza(the singaporean idol) was totally cool !!
The part when he sang 'Hijau' together with Zainal Abidin was simple, yet captivating. They sang harmoniously, without outdoing each other (i'm beginning to act like a 'pengkritik' haha).
And when it reached the part that he needs to sing using Kelantan accent, it was cute. Hady Mirza is absolutely talented!
I watched this video at youtube about a dozen times already.hehe~
Plus, the song is all about the environment, our Earth. Afterall, we're celebrating the World Environment Day rite? (^o^)

i love the lyrics!(especially the 'Kelantan' part),it was touching too.=)
"bumi yang tiada rimba
seumpama hamba
dia dicemar manusia
yang jahil ketawa

bumi yang tiada udara
bagai tiada nyawa
pasti hilang suatu hari
tanpa disedari

bumi tanpa lautan
akan kehausan
pasti lambat laun hilang
duniaku yang malang"

so people, lets play our part, help our dying environment.
And oh yeah, green every day!(^o^)

Kemas the closet

Yesterday i get a bit 'rajin' (Hey thats news!;p), and i decided to tidy up all my clothes in the closet. I've just realised how messy it is. And i think i should do it as i'll be leaving for banting in less than 2 weeks.

For safety precaution, in case there's a
big fat cockroach lying in there. I hate them.
I have the ability to scream frantically when they
creep towards me
XD

Baru sedar, i have lots of baju kurung
(the outcome of 2 years in a boarding school!=p) and i hardly
wear them nowadays, except for kenduri, or to surau.hehe~

then i noticed there're 4 pairs of unused jeans.
i frequently wear the 2 pairs of jeans on the right.
tersorok di celah2 timbunan baju rupanya. ngahaha~

As a result of kemas-ing the closet, i was 'attacked' by my usual sinus problem (eventhough i cover up my nose ok) huhu padan muka~;p
It happens whenever i'm exposed to dust.haih~

A shocking truth

Sorry about the title.(^o^) saje nak exaggerate the story..hahaha~
Just wanted to share what my naughty, childish, beloved uncle (my mom's youngest brother) said on the phone just now. I called him Pak Uda. Pak Uda, I almost freaked out tau! XD

I was watching the Indonesian sinetron at tv3 and then my handphone rang. I didn't recognise the number. Then i picked it up and i heard a kinda serious voice at the end of the line. I assumed it was from JPA or something, as it sounded official.

Caller : Boleh saya cakap dgn Nur Zulaikha Zainol?
Me : Ye saye.
Caller : Saya dari Kolej MARA Banting, nak bagitau satu perkara penting.
Me : Apa dia? ( I was wondering from where la they get my number, then i thought maybe JPA bagi kot)
Caller : Cik Zulaikha, cik tak boleh masuk kolej kami.
Me : kenapa? (at this time, i was like, "huh?!?")
Caller : Cik x memenuhi syarat yang kami dah tetapkan.
Me : What?!? Ni sape?
Caller : Saya dari Kolej MARA Banting. Kami dah check dan cik x memenuhi syarat.
Me : ( I was silent, thinking, biar betul...and tekezut jugak!! all of a sudden they called!!)

And then suddenly, the so-called representative from KMB burst out laughing

"Oit ika! ni pak uda laa!!!!wakakakaka~"

kuang kuang kuang~
i was so GERAM, but i laughed too. So easily fooled la (^o^)
Pak Uda, clever trick!!

Doctors

I came across a quite interesting article from The Star, it mentioned about what good doctors are made of. Right now thousands of straight-A students are vying for a career in medicine. So what does it take to be a good doctor?

I love watching the medical drama House. Dr. Greg
ory House is a totally cool and cranky character (^o^)He is a medical genius, but he's also a popular medical myths misleading students about the life of a doctor as he would avoid talking to patients if he could.

I'm not a doctor, but hopefully one day i will be. Here's
what i get during the 3-day 'pendedahan kerjaya seorang doktor' at Hospital Kepala Batas, joinly organised by JPA and the Health Ministry (if i'm not mistaken ;p) . The programme was compulsory for those who apply for the JPA scholarship (for medicine of course). I went to the Operation Theatre, and met a doctor who's preparing for an operation. He said to my group,

" Ni semua budak2 straight A's ke?Kamu semua ni serious nak jadi doctor? Kerja doktor ni susah. Yang dekat TV tu, semua tipu. We don't need only brains to be a doctor. Kena ikhlas dgn patient. Kadang2 ada yang jumpa saya, datang jauh2 dari kampung, duit tambang balik pun xde. You know, gaji doktor ni ciput je.x banyak pun in the beginning .Office sendiri pun xde .Saya pernah makan lunch, lauk sama dgn patient, lauk toge je. So, betul ni nak jadi doktor?"
This was what i wore at the O.T.
Totally feel like a doctor!oh yeah~
(^o^)

Then there's a nurse who came to us and said that the doctor we met is one of the most brilliant surgeons in penang. And she also mentioned that what the doctor said was 100% true. Come to think of it, it doesn't matter how much salary we gain, but what matters most is the good deeds we do while we work .

"You don't have to be driven by dreams of saving mankind or finding a cure for cancer .Years of medical school have thought me that you need to be grounded to be a good doctor-it is hard work and sometimes unrewarding .Other times ,it takes small things to make it worthwhile ,like getting a relieved look or smile or simple 'Thank You' from your patients after you have allayed their fear by simply talking to them or just listening to their worries."-Dr. Leticia W.

To all future doctors ,all the best .(^^,)

art~

Last night i helped ira (my sister) putting the 'final touch' to her homework. Her art teacher asked her to create any kind of shape using the tiny little glittering thing. I don't know what it's called.haha~
But one thing for sure, it was very 'leceh', as we need to paste it one by one onto the black paper. Plus, we use 'gam UHU' so it gets all messy at last..haha~

tadaa!! our masterpiece (^o^)

see how 'creative' we are? wahaha~

oh yeah..we did it!(Dora the explorer's version..hehe~)

Our hands were covered with 'spidey web' ,because of the UHU glue..hehe~

Down memory lane

Now that i have nothing to do at home, i spend my time sifting through all my old photographs. Reminds me of all those good old days. Here are a few pictures i manage to scan, and each picture evokes feelings long gone, but always deep within me ;-)
About this sudden trip to my past, i just feel like i need to stop, and look back once in a while.
Afterall, a picture's worth a thousand words.

1991. a very pampered little girl.haha~
always surrounded with toys.

1991.

1998. grandma in the middle with her
hyperactive grandchildren.hehe~

1999.Family trip to KLCC.

mom and I at a dinner function.can't remember when.

1997. i love this one,coz it looks kinda classic.hehe~

I'd like to post a few more nostalgic photos. Maybe next time (^o^)

DIVA ;-)

Yesterday, the whole family went to Queensbay Mall . I was thinking of buying a few stuff for college . The first place we usually drop by when we go there is definitely BORDERS . The second coolest bookstore in my opinion . Kinokuniya's still the best .haha~

Then we noticed the shop next to BORDERS (selling clothes) was having discounts . 30% up to 70% . haha~so apa lagi , i got myself a shirt, my sisters bought two pairs of jeans and shirt , and zharrieq (my bro) had a new wallet . Dad insisted on buying him a rather cheap one because he kept losing it . I've forgotten how many times he lost his wallet .

Then after 'successfully' shopping new stuff, it's almost 2.30 and luckily that day, the actors of a new film, 'DIVA' (out on june 28 ), came to queensbay to promote their new film. They were Awal,Adam,Balqyish, and Jessica (Indonesian actress) . I thought Awal was gonna come!*sigh*..then Adam said he can't come..so there're just 3 of them.I get to stand right in front of the stage as it's Monday and there weren't many people as usual.
balqiysh and jessica.notice the guy back there
wearing a red DIVA t-shirt? i got one too.they gave me for free lor~=p

this is when he stood right in front of me. haha~

here's adam and jessica

I'm not a big fan of Adam. But i adored Awal (cewah!).His Malay-Chinese parentage makes him looks good bebeh! sadly he can't come.

And about my soon-to-be bedroom in MARA College Banting, i've searched their website and here's a picture of it .

This one looks boring. And monotonous. No worries, once i get there, i'll groom the space .
Make-over balik.hehe~

Ok then.pen off now.adios~

First Post - officially =p

Finally, this blog is mine. though not fully groomed. Thanks mama for helping me out .=)
I watched pirates 3 (at world's end ) yesterday, not in the cinema, but at home.
Dad says it's much more easier that way. jimat sikit.haha~
Currently, mom is learning how to use torrent to download movies from the internet . It was so cool. Right now we have almost 10 movies. I've watched shrek 3 , Mr. Bean's Holiday , Legally blonde 2 , Pirates 3 , 2 episodes of wakenabeb ( it's like punk'd, malay version) . and there's 3oo and Wild hogs too. 3oo was too violent la .

Ok enough crapping about movies.
I'm going to Mara College Banting on 26th june . So i'll be separated with all the latest movies. Oh, so tragic.
As this is my first post 'officially' ,I would like to apologise in advance for my terrible english. You know, it's been like almost 6 months since i left school , and i guess the 'quality' is decreasing during that period.haha. sorry for the inconvenience. (ceh poyo )
And my brain was like 'jammed' at the moment , so i don't really know how will i start studying all the IB subjects .uh-oh.
Believe me,for 6 months, i spent my life on the sofa in front of the tv .haha~
sofa ini menjadi bukti .

It's a miracle as i can still stand up straight after spending hours on the sofa.hehe~

and i guess i've memorised the TV schedule.

That's all for now. I'll write something more objective later.=p.
